Then you simply have to click ‘Add User’ to add the user to the project or task. ![]() From there, you’ll be taken to the sharing tab, where you can enter the email address of the user you wish to share with. To share a project or task with another Todoist user, you must first click on the project or task to expand the details section. This notification will then appear as a reminder when the task is due. Once the desired date and time is entered, click ‘Add Notification’ to add the notification to the task. In the details section, click the Notifications field and enter the date and time for the notification. Type in your task name and: Add a due date and/or time. To set a notification for a task, click on the task to expand the details section. Tap or click the + symbol on any Todoist platform web, desktop, or mobile to open Quick Add. This allows you to quickly and easily organize tasks and projects according to the relevant criteria. The filter will now be visible on the left side of the screen. Then, enter the criteria for the filter and click the ‘Create Filter’ button. To use the filters feature, first click the Filter tab on the left side of the Todoist screen. This will make it easier to find and keep track of the task when searching through your Todoist tasks. Enter the name of the label you wish to add to the task.įinally, click the ‘Add Label’ button to save the label and add it to the task. At the bottom of the section, you will see the Labels field. To add a label to a task, simply click on the task to open the details section. The newly added subtask will appear in the task list for that task. Then click ‘Add Sub-Task’ to add the sub-task to the task. Press the plus sign next to Sub-Tasks and enter the name of the sub-task in the text field. This will display the subtasks associated with that task, as well as other task information such as due date, priority level, and labels. To add sub-tasks to a task in Todoist, first click on the task in the task list to expand the details section. Enter a task name in the Task field and click ‘Add Task’. This will open up a new field allowing you to enter the name of the task. To start adding tasks, first click on the project that you have just created and press the plus sign next to the project name. You can also organize projects into folders and assign team members to projects for collaboration. Give your project a name and click the ‘Add Project’ button to create it. Click the plus sign to bring up the Create Project prompt. Once logged in, look for the plus sign next to the Projects tab on the top bar of the dashboard. All that with a “command-line-like” feeling. You create a to-do, add a priority, label, owner and so on. Todoist (as the name suggests) is focused on managing your to-dos. Power-Ups in Trello can turn your board to fit your very specific needs. Todoist is clearly focused on managing your to-dos, compared to a Trello board which can be used for anything from a brainstorming session (using cards as post-its) to managing social media content (the calendar feature).
